Born in 1981, the Merimbula Jazz Festival is Australia’s longest-running jazz festival, bringing musicians and fans together from across the country.
Over the June long weekend, visitors can enjoy live performances, connect with fellow jazz lovers, and experience Merimbula’s vibrant seaside setting. Musicians of all ages and experience levels come together to play, socialise, and celebrate jazz.
History
Since 1981, the Merimbula Jazz Festival has brought musicians and jazz lovers together from across Australia, creating a rare space to hear, play and celebrate jazz over the June long weekend.
Our Committee
Behind the festival is a team of nine devoted committee members, many in place since 2011, who work year-round to keep the Merimbula Jazz Festival strong, vibrant, and ready for generations to come.
