Happy New Year Jazz Lovers and Musicians

Welcome to 2024 and the world of jazz here in Merimbula.

The wonderful musicians who take part in the Merimbula Jazz Festival perform a wide range of jazz styles from trad through to swing, modern and fusion; there’s something for everyone.

Our Early Bird Jazz Lover tickets at just $100 for an entire weekend of music 7th-10th June 2024, are now available on our website.

We also want to throw a few other temptations your way.

The wonderfully wild Sapphire Coast where the Merimbula Jazz Festival takes place is known for its award-winning Sydney Rock oysters. There are internationally recognised boutique distilleries, and a range of restaurants and cafes which have gathered many accolades for their cuisine.

Want to stretch your legs between sets? Check out some of the attractions in the local area.

Book in for our Vocal Workshops

There’s even more on offer at the Merimbula Jazz Festival this year.

If the sound of a gospel choir fills you with joy, join our workshop and be part of the Gospel Choir which will perform at the Ecumenical Service on Sunday morning 9th June.

Does the sound of the big band set your pulse racing – don’t hold back – join the Swing Jazz Choir vocal workshop and perform with a big band as part of the festival program. Beginners and experienced singers are welcome. Find out more here under the Vocal Workshops heading, and book your place here.

Registered Jazz Lovers and Musicians are all welcome to participate in the vocal workshops.

We’re excited by this new feature of our program and recommend booking early as places are limited.

A reminder for Musicians

A big thank you to all those Band Leaders who have registered for MJF 2024. We’d like to remind you and your band members to register as Musicians as your band won’t be registered until all your Musicians have completed their registrations.

Looking forward to seeing you in Merimbula!
