If you would like to spend a few hours working as a volunteer at the Festival, check our needs here. Volunteers are needed for registration control, stage announcing, raffle ticket sales (for the Down South Jazz Club), and general help as required.
This year, the registration forms are fillable PDFs, which means you can type your details straight into the form on your computer before saving it and sending it to us by email or post. You can still download the forms from the website, then print them as blank forms and fill them in by hand if you wish – but typed information makes it easier for us to ensure we have all your correct information.
Jazz Lover Registration
On Saturday morning, 10 June, join the throngs in the street or dress up and be part of the fun of the Jazz Festival parade through town. Then enjoy a singalong overlooking the lake before heading off to one of the venues.
If you are keen to hear some of the younger musicians don’t miss the Jazz Quest, held at the Lakeview Hotel on Saturday evening. The standard at this event is always extremely high and the talent breathtaking.
Sunday morning sees the return of the extremely popular ecumenical church service.
On Monday Club Sapphire will be hosting the Jazz Hatters Party (previously the Jazz Picnic) complete with a line up of toe tapping bands. While you are there check out the Jazz Art display. Each year our local artists produce some stunning artworks around the jazz theme with one chosen to be used as the basis for the following year’s poster. This year’s poster is based on the painting by Pam Collins. Colours for this year’s festival are orange, mid blue and red on white.
Check out our website for all registration details for 2017 (which are also included below). The Early Bird offer is once again available, so get in early and save.
We look forward to seeing you in Merimbula again in 2017.
Following on from last year’s inaugural Jazz Festival Ball, held on the Thursday night prior to the start of the festival, we will once again hold another ball. It’s a black tie or jazz costume event, and if you love to dance, love the big band sound and enjoy a night of good food and cabaret then it’s not to be missed.
